The Cancer Merit System will require individuals to signup and register their commitment, however large or small. This database will be constantly updated but not audited, that will be left to each individual to do for themselves. If you have promised to give 10 hours a month and only give 2 hours, well that will be on your conscious.
In recognition of peoples’ contributions, the Cancer Merit System will offer rewards to individuals whose efforts have merited them earning a recognition badge. The badges will be awarded to individuals who have been nominated by others and duly selected and approved by a conscientious Board, a tceremonies that will begin with a grand launch later this year.

As previously mentioned, the Cancer Charity Foundation was formed through a group of individuals who have been giving privately whatever they can to assist cancer patients, especially children.
This group has grown rapidly over time as each member has introduced new people to cancer issues and, they in turn have introduced someone new.
The Foundation is of the belief that there is good in everyone, be it large or small, and if this goodness can be tapped in to then great things can happen, as has been experienced with the first group.
Already the Foundation is benefiting from the social responsibility of others as for example, the individuals involved are working on a voluntary basis and that includes everyone from the lawyer to the administrator.The Cancer Merit System will encourage individuals to take on some social responsibility towards helping cancer patients and will recognize those who have made major contributions in this area.
This could be the health worker in Kabale who has been caring for cancer patients or the shopkeeper who gives cancer patients sugar each and every week.
These are just examples but the Foundation believes everyone can be encouraged to act in a socially responsible way towards cancer be it through finance, resources or labour and this will unquestionably be for the betterment of cancer patients.
